With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elva Juanita Hawkins (Albany, New York), born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on August 21, 2018 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her spouse Alman J. Hawkins; and her parent Shelby Young. She is survived by: her parent Evie Young (McMillan); her children, Susan A. Hawkins of Round Lake and Harold A. Hawkins of Bay Ridge; and her brothers, Mark Young of Alexandria and Alvin Young of Alexandria. She is also survived by grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
