He was predeceased by: his parent George H.; his spouses, Melissa Hawley and Eloise Stoddard Hawley; his daughter Melissa Hawley; and his sister Marjorie Hawley.

He is survived by: his parent Clara LaQue Hawley; his children, Christopher G. Hawley of Albany and Michelle M. Como (Gary) of Albany; his grandson Mark Como; his stepchildren, Stacey Shellenberger and Jimmy DeAngelis; and his grandchildren, Michelle and Rich.
