She is survived by: her daughters, Wendy, Jennifer and Stephanie; her stepsons, Randy, Jeff and Phil; her spouse David Woodward; her daughter Dave; and her spouse Walter Nickel.

In lieu of flowers, Joanne wished for donations to be made in her memory to cancer research.
