He is survived by: his wife Colleen; his son John (Marisa); his grandsons, Jack and Liam; his sister Althea; his siblings-in-law, Patrick Butler, John Butler (Lynn) and Kathleen Keegan; and his cousin Margaret Murphy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
