He was predeceased by: his parents, Satya Pal Gupta and Prem Lata Gupta; and his sibling Janak Agarwal. He is survived by: his wife Rita Gupta; his child Rahul Gupta (Sweta Joshi) of Ballston Lake; and his siblings, Veena Sangal (Ajit) of Roorkee, Uttarakhand, Anita Chowdhry (Bhagirath) of Ludhiana, Punjab and India. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
