He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Coons and Lucy Coons; and his brothers, Willis Jr. and Abraham Coons. He is survived by: his children, Dawn Rogers (David), Denise Hunter (John), Peter Jr., Paul Coons (Donna), Joyce Tarbox (Craig) and Gloria Watson (Dana); and his sisters, Marion Lasher, Lucy McLaury, Helen Chittenden and Shirley Prostler.
