He was predeceased by: his wife Rita M. MacDonald Missenis; his parents, John B. Missenis and Eleanor E. Price Missenis; his grandson Nicholas Vinehout; and his siblings, John J, Lawrence P. "Larry" Missenis, James B. Missenis, Carol Davenport and Jean Collette.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Missenis (Christina) of Malta, Richard Missenis (Bridgette) of Albany, Deborah Missenis of Stillwater, Laurie Gulli (Vincenzo "Jim") of Clifton Park and Russell Missenis (Kristin) of Clifton Park; his grandchildren, Michael Missenis (Jennifer), Cameron Missenis, Jordan Missenis, Jessica Austin (Christopher), Carter Gulli (Angelina Purcell), Cody Gulli, Logan Missenis and Gabrielle Missenis; his great grandchild Brianna Austin; and his stepdaughters, Barbara Cady (Mark) and Janice Johnson (Gordie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
