Selma Heflich Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Selma Heflich (Albany, New York), who passed away on January 9, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Zaretzky and Mildred Zaretzky; and her sister Shirley. She is survived by: her friend Gloria Herkowitz; her children, Lois Suresky (Judd) of Guilderland, NY, Gail Kaphan (Russell) of Alford, MA and Gary Heflich (Toby) of Cherry Hill; her grandchildren, Jody Carle (Michael), Joshua Suresky (Leigh), Ariel Fitzpatrick (Bill), David Kaphan (Leah Barish), Benjamin Kaphan (Jill Dusseault) and Michael Heflich; and her great grandchildren, Jack, Grant, Chace, Remi and Frances Ruth. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday January 11 at 2:00pm at Congregation Beth Emeth Cemetery for family due to Covid-19 restrictions.
