It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophie Rusnica in Albany, New York, born in Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on October 17, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Mikenas and Frances Sanlinke Mikenas. She is survived by: her husband Thomas; her children, Joyce Neznek (Wayne), Lisa Rusnica, Thomas M. Rusnica of Pattersonville, NY, Bill Rusnica (Rosanne) of Pattersonville, NY and Jeffrey Rusnica (Joanne) of Pattersonville, NY; her sister Edna Sajdak of Amsterdam; her grandchildren, Brian, Gregg, Bob, Casey, Kevin, Andy and Jason; and her great grandchildren, Otto, Aniela and Zoey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Sophie's name may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
