He was predeceased by: his parents, T. Rufus Butman and Anne Butman (Cahill); and his children, Thomas J. and Elizabeth A. Butman (Betsy). He is survived by: his wife Joan Butman (Kampf); his children, John M. (Marcia) of Bismark, ND, Joseph S. (Michele) of Hawthorne, NJ and Kathleen A. Sherman (Robert) of Westerlo, NY; and his sister Nancy Lomanto of Georgia. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
