She was predeceased by: her husband James W Shaughnessy Sr.; her parents, Wilfred H Tiernan and Edna Mae DeForest; her stepmother Esther Tiernan; and her siblings, Shirl McGowan (Frances) and Robert Tiernan (Stephanie).

She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Lauretti (John), Nancy Chambers (Robert), James Shaughnessy Jr. (Rosalyn) and Kevin M Shaughnessy; her grandchildren, Kelle Ann Chambers, Wayne Chambers (Kaci), Lauren Wentrick (Chuck), Sean P Lauretti, Todd Lauretti (Vera), Jennifer Shaughnessy (Jason Harbeck) and James Shaughnessy, III (Kirin Furst); her great grandchildren, Tyler Charles, Bailey Charles, Crew Chambers, Clarke Chambers, Charlie Chambers, Connor Wentrick, Parker Wentrick, Holden Wentrick, Kaliegh Donnelly (Dylan) and Jack Harbeck; and her great great grandchildren, Onora Donnelly and Aila Donnelly. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
