He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Tillinghast and Grace Tillinghast (Jenkins); his wife Martha L. Tillinghast (Coombes); and his son Joseph L. Tillinghast. He is survived by: his children, Philip Tillinghast (Becky), Tammy Prentice, Joanne Florek, Edgar Tillinghast, Jr., Terri Tillinghast and Dawn Gerety. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (215 W Center St, Medina, NY 14103). A burial was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sardinia Cemetery.
