She was predeceased by: her parents, George Briggs and Vivian Briggs (Youngs); her son Joseph Button; her brother George Briggs; and the father of her children Edward Button.

She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Heise (Nick Nicolazzo) and Amy Button; her grandchildren, Ashley Button, Andrew Button, Richard Button, Nicholas Button, Maciel Gomez, Maranda Button, Carmen Gomez, Jared Button and Brendon Burening; her niece Sherie Briggs; and her nephews, Darryl Briggs (Michele) and Rusty Briggs. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
