With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ernest W. Pruitt Jr. of Alden, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parent Willie Sue; his parents-in-law, Clarence and Marion Neff; and his brother-in-law David Neff (Babe). He is survived by: his wife Sheila Pruitt (Neff); his children, Michael Pruitt (Melanie), Mark Pruitt (Jeannine) and Wendy Schaber; his grandchildren, Adam, Eric, Shane (Carlyn), Kaylee (Sean), Hannah (Max), Brandy, Jamie (Adam), Jessie and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Leana and Willow; his sister Joan Measmer (late Don); and his siblings-in-law, Susan Hannel, Barbara Baker (Bill), Nancy Galanis (Terry), Terry Blair (late James), Sandra Luderman (late Mark), Robert Neff (Robin) and Janet Parsons (Robert). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home (13228 Broadway, Alden, NY 14004). A prayer will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Alden Hook and Ladder.
