He was predeceased by: his mother Agnes Schnitzer. He is survived by: his father Robert Schnitzer; his children, Jackie Pollotta (Tim) and Vicki Schnitzer; his grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Lilyanna, Harley and Haven; and his siblings, Rob Schnitzer (Judi), Debbie Huber (Ken), Lori Thering (Joe) and Jeff Schnitzer (Kim). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alden Hook and Ladder Fire Co. John wrote and published a book named "The Pain Within" and was a retired technician and computer assembler.
