She was predeceased by : her husband Patrick Nevin. She is survived by : her children, Laura Weston (Butch), Donna Renzi, Patricia McLellan (Mark), Janet Weisbeck (Chris), Mary Salim (Zack), Joyce Hahn (Russ), Amy Harrington (Robert) and Erin Nevin (Damien Lawrence). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc. Sylvia was born and raised in Toronto, Canada.
