With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christopher P. Shields (Alexandria Bay, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 3, 2025 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his wife Becky Serens; his parents, Hugh C. Shields and Elizabeth D. Shields; and his siblings, Mary Susan and Thomas.
He is survived by: his siblings, Elizabeth Astolfi (Douglas), Michael Shields (Carol), Stephen Shields (Alicia), Catherine Squires (Gary), Barbara Shields, Peter Shields (Ace), John Shields (Gina) and Joseph Shields (Amy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In his honor, his family has established a scholarship fund in his name: In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Dr. Christopher Shields to the Monroe Community College Foundation, 1000 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, N.Y. 14623.
