With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John W. Slate (Alexandria Bay, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on September 6, 2025 at the age of 61, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy John leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John F. Slate and Montessum Gouge Slate; his wife Lisa Neville of Cyril's Church; his children, John F. Slate (Allyson Thomas) and Gabrielle Livingston (Chuck); and his brothers, Fred Slate (Sharon) and Mark Slate.
