Laura L. Otterbein Obituary
We announce the death of Laura L. Otterbein of Alfred, New York, who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 60. Laura will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Laura will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Laura will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Laura’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her father William Zacher; her sister Wendy Zacher-Schmidt (Alex); and her nephew Alexander Schmidt. She is survived by: her sons, Tyler (Morgyn Maresco), Austin and Spencer Otterbein.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (1411 Delaware Ave, Buffalo, NY 14209).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the AKG or the American Cancer Society.
