Baljit S. Puri Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 26, 2025, at the age of 87, Baljit S. Puri of Allegany, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sangat Singh and Harnam Kaur; and his siblings, Baldev Puri and Appi Bahl. He is survived by: his spouse Damyant Chatwal; his daughters, Moninder Puri-Schlotter (Bernd Schlotter) of Menlo Park, CA and Mondeep Puri (Josh Segall) of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandchildren, Stefan Schlotter of San Francisco, CA, Alexa Schlotter of New York, NY, Roshan Segall of Pittsburgh, PA and Asha Segall of Pittsburgh, PA; and his siblings, Amarjit Puri of London and Saroj Puri of New Delhi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home (3128 W State St, Olean, NY 14760). A prayer will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. Even as the pandemic began to spread, Baljit and Damyant were cruising in Asia and were fortunate enough to get home safely.
