June E. Young Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of June E. Young in Alpine, New York, who passed away on October 14, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Weaver and Evelyn Weaver (Atkins); her husband Arthur Young (Art); her parents-in-law, Chauncey and Edna Young; her siblings-in-law, Leonard Young, Grant, Cecelia Young, Betty, Clayton of Montana, Janet and Leo Fitzpatrick; and her sons-in-law, Richard "Rick" Voorhees, Bruce Carpenter and Lee Avery.
She is survived by: her daughters, Amy Voorhees of Oppenheim, NY, Brenda Avery of Oppenheim, NY and Dawn Carpenter of Oppenheim, NY; her grandchildren, Kelly Voorhees of Little Falls, NY, Kathy Glanovsky (Jeffrey), Kristy Buccolo (Michael) of Oppenheim, NY, Kayla Norris (Robert) of Oppenheim, NY, Shawn Avery (Adrienne) of Salem, NH, Jacob Carpenter (Sarah) of Little Falls, NY and Amanda Carpenter (Darryl) of Oppenheim, NY; her great grandchildren, Nicholas Buccolo of Oppenheim, NY, Emily Buccolo of Oppenheim, NY, Marshal Norris of Oppenheim, NY, Mira Norris of Oppenheim, NY, Jace Avery, Ella Avery of Salem, NH, Zak Imsirovic of Little Falls, NY and Parker Carpenter of Little Falls, NY; her brother Harold Weaver of Oppenheim, NY; her sister-in-law Dorothy Young of Clifton Park, NY; and her grandchildren, Michaela Brandow, Allyson Nourse (Brandow), Andrew Rogers, Michael Buccolo, Kerry Hoffman, Cady Hoffman and Kenna Hoffman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Miller-Plonka Funeral Home (30 Wolf St, Dolgeville, NY 13329). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Dolgeville Cemetery West State (125 W State St, Dolgeville, NY 13329).
