We bid farewell to Joan E. Van Wormer of Altamont, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 1, 2025 at the age of 95. Joan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Matthews and Ceceilia Matthews; her husband Robert Van Wormer; her daughter Gayle Fisher; and her siblings, Ceceilia Kalamejski, Irene Van Wormer, Ruth Bader, Samuel Matthews and Robert Matthews.

She is survived by: her daughter Nancy M. Van Wormer (Charlotte); and her grandchildren, Kathy Parent (Paul), Robert Fisher (Debbie) and Michael Fisher (Melinda). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
