He is survived by : his wife Simona Bortis-Schultz; his son Roger; his father Roger Schultz; his parents-in-law, Vesalina Bortis and Simion Bortis; his siblings, Roger Schultz Jr. (Debi), Catherine Schultz Hay and Jennifer Schultz; and his sister-in-law Lavinia Bortis. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (343 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernadette's Church (122 Grand St, Altamont, NY 12009). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at the Knox Cemetery.
