Though John may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by : his former life partner Suzanne R. Karpinski. He is survived by : his wife Kathy L. Gable; and his children, Melissa Markowitch (David), Michelle (Jordan Villa) and Joseph (Mary). He is also survived by five beautiful grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at 94 Pantigo Rd, East Hampton, NY 11937. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Therese of Lisieux R. C. Church (55 S Essex St, Montauk, NY 11954). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933).
