He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold W. Ackerman and Dorothy M. Ackerman (Chapman). He is survived by: his close friend Susan L. Morse of Amenia; his siblings, Richard Ackerman, Nancy Ackerman and Yvonne Ackerman; James Morse. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
