The memory of Mary Leitch of Amenia, New York, who passed away on December 24, 2025 at the age of 103, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the sacred silence of farewell, Mary is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mary's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Antonio Mechare and Helena Mechare (Haynes); and her husband William Leitch (Billy) of Millbrook. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, Mary once again found a way to help others.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church or the Dutchess County Professional Horseman's Association.
