In loving memory of John J. VanIderstine of Amityville, New York, who departed this world on June 17, 2025 at the age of 71. John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, John shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent and Margaret; and his sibling Ali Marie Ambrosio. He is survived by: his sibling Thomas (Terry); his nephews, Joshua, Sean and Kevin; his great-nephew Nicholas; and his friend Ray.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
