“Good morning. My name is Pete Vicente and I am a recently retired Captain with American Airlines. I just heard of Patrick’s passing and to say the least I am heartbroken. I flew with Patrick as a new hire and reunited with him again on the 777. He was a fantastic pilot and one of the most thoughtful and kind men I have known at AA. He gave me a copy of his book of poems and I will cherish it. I’m so sorry for your loss. He was a good friend. The world is a little less kind with his loss.”
