He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Roby and Dorothy Jimerson Roby; his siblings, Lawrence, Linda and Jaqueline; and his significant other Liz Coy.

He is survived by: his son Tyrone Roby. He is also survived by five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
