He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Konitzer and Doris Konitzer; and his siblings, Albert Konitzer and Karen Nowak. He is survived by: his wife Joan Konitzer; his son David Konitzer (Sheila); his siblings, Dorothy Drake, Kathy Miller and Douglass Konitzer (Linda); his grandchildren, Amanda Collins (David), Nicole Manginelli (Anthony) and Vincent Zukas (David); and his great grandchild Evan Collins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM at the Rose & Hughes Funeral Home (200 Church St, Amsterdam, NY 12010). The military honors will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Town of Florida Volunteer Fire Department, 6252 NY-30, Amsterdam, NY or the Florida Reformed Church, 6255 NY-30, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
