With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elda Forte of Amsterdam, New York, born in San Jose, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Elda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of our lives, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ramon Montalvo and Francisca Montalvo (Reyes); her husband Severino Forte; and her brother Ramon Montalvo. She is survived by : her son Louis R. Forte (Sylvia) of Corpus Christi, TX; her grandson Timothy Forte (Kelly) of Amsterdam, NY; her great grandchildren, Alexandra and Victoria Forte; and her sister Carmen Ortega. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes (171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
