Eleanor Young Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Young (Amsterdam, New York), who passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clement Barker and Stella Kedik Barker; her husband Robert A. Young Sr.; her son Robert A. Young Jr.; and her sister Janet Barker.

She is survived by: her daughter Wanda Young-Bates (Donald) of Amsterdam; and her siblings, Clement W. Barker Sr. of Amsterdam, Charles C. Barker (Eileen) of Amsterdam, Mary Jane Phelps of Amsterdam, Patricia Ann Sandy of Roanoke, VR, Jessie Bartosik of Hagaman and Kathleen Korona (David) of Amsterdam. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
