Ernestina Camacho Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernestina Camacho of Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on July 13, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Juanita Perez and Anastasio Perez; her grandchildren, Henry Araya, Cindy Murillo and Richie Carpenter; and her siblings, Adelida of Puerto Rico, Antonia of Puerto Rico, Efrain of Puerto Rico, Ramonita of Puerto Rico and Roberto of Puerto Rico.

She is survived by: her husband Aldelmo Camacho; her daughters, Ida Slansky (Paul) of Ft Hunter, NY and Lillian Murillo (Carlos) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Doug Murillo (Amy) of Parma Heights, OH, Chris Araya (Kelly) of Waxhaw, NC, Kevin Murillo of Orlando, FL, Mike Araya (Carrie) of Tribes Hill, NY, Becky Murillo of Charlotte, NC, Robert Camacho (Jonathan) of Fort Hunter, NY, Patty Bedell (Dave) and Paul Slansky (Laura); and her great grandchildren, Patrick, Jordan, Mitchell, Austin, Jillian, Lauren, Haile, Derek, Daniel (Jonelle), Brandon (Casey) and Brian Katlynn (Catherine).

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic all are asked to wear and mask and observe social distancing.

In lieu in flowers, the family welcomes donation in Tina's honor to St Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105, A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday July 16, 2020 at 1:30PM at Historic St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Main St., Amsterdam with Father Jeffrey M. L' Arche M.S. as celebrant.
