He was predeceased by : his parents, Cyril Lewis and Isabella Née Waterman Lewis; his wife Norma Lewis; his siblings, Albert, Compton, Rupert, Alvin, Edna Pompey, Doreen Ward, Lurline Eastman and Gloria Jones; his daughter Carol Lewis; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Lewis; and his grandchildren, Lennox and Petra.

He is survived by : his children, Oral, Joan, Michael (Pamela), Hector Jr., Karen (Auger), Godfrey (Sheryl), Debbie (Horace), Mark (Jennifer) and Robert (Aiko); his sister Olwen Giddings; and his sisters-in-law, Millicent Lewis of New Jersey and Norma Lewis of London. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
