We are sad to announce that, on October 20, 2025, at the age of 86, Joan L Sampone of Amsterdam, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Americo Barbato and Lucy Percassi Barbato; her husband John A. Sampone, Sr.; and her son John A. Sampone. She is survived by: her brother Gaetano Barbato; her daughters, Patricia Gardner (Charles) and Tina Dybas (Martin); her brother Richard Barbato (Sally); her sisters-in-law, Claire and Kathy Barbato; and her grandchildren, Stephen (Sonia), Cassandra (Nick), Kimberly (Whelan) and Jessica. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
