It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Louis J. Zaccardo of Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph V. Zaccardo and Grace Caperino Zaccardo. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Zaccardo (Sue) of Amsterdam, Grace Bylebyl (Harry) of Amsterdam, Regina Zaccardo (Kelli Martin) of Saratoga Springs, NY and Arthur Alukonis of Amsterdam; his grandchildren, Sarah Kraemer (Robert) of Johnstown, NY, Michele Ibarra (Alex) of Kingston, NY, Kristina Zaccardo Graves (Jonathan Goyette) of Broadalbin, NY and Anette Hermann (Jeremy) of Hudson, MA; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn Kraemer, Michael Kraemer, Jeremiah Hermann, Cooper Ibarra and Edison Hermann. He is also survived by Nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church (39 St John St, Amsterdam, NY 12010). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
