With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Murphy (Amsterdam, New York), born in Cohoes, New York, who passed away on November 20, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lajeunesse and Aldea Vincent Lajeunesse; her husband John; and her siblings, Eugene Lajeunesse and Eleanor Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Murphy (Clare) of Edinburg, NY, Richard Murphy of Amsterdam, Jack Murphy (Deborah) of Schenectady, NY, Jean Allen (Jack) of Amsterdam, Donna Murphy Houlihan of Edinburg and Anne Shelton (Brian) of Ballston Lake, NY; and her sister Irene Musick (late Ross) of Acton, MA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
