We announce the death of Peter Leonard Shandorf of Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shandorf and Marjorie Shandorf. He is survived by: his siblings, Patrick Shandorf (Evelyn) of West Palm Beach, Fla and Marlene Syzek (Gary) of Fulshear; his nephews, Michael Syzek of Houston, Joshua Knisley and Jarrod Knisley of Winter Springs, Fla.; and his aunt Elizabeth "Betty" Terwilliger of Amsterdam, NY.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (156 Main St, Amsterdam, NY 12010). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Mary's Church, 156 East Main St., Amsterdam, NY 12010.
