He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sandra Smaldino (Reinard); his children, Thomas (Christina), John (Carly), Michael (Megan), Marc Smaldino (Lindsey), Jennie Asaro and Mary Ramsey (Matt); his brothers, Charles and John Smaldino; and his grandchildren, Tommy, Sam, Amelia, Camille, Michael, Teresa, Claire, Mary, Imogene, Vinicio, Adalina, Gia and Joe.
