With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joann Stephens of Apalachin, New York, born in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 9, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Ashcraft and Anna Ashcraft; her husband Gerald; her children, Sandra Layton and Dana Stephens; her brother Kirk Ashcraft; and her great grandchild Corey Harders.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Stephens, Sheila Stephens (Ken Hull), Mark Stephens (Lisa Gould) and Eric Stephens (Lori Backus); her grandchildren, Tracy Harders (Brian), Sara Tripp, Emily Tripp, Jeffrey Swan (Kate), Hannah Stephens and Julia Stephens; her great grandchildren, Daniel Woodard, Madelyn Swan and Robert Swan; her brother-in-law David Stephens (Dede); and her pet Manny. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
