He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Tilford and Ruth Tilford (Nichols); his wife Beatrice Colvin; his siblings, Helen Louise Cameron, Barbara Cobb and Nelson Tilford; and his son-in-law Jeff Bombard.

He is survived by: his children, Randy Tilford (Heidi), Ken Tilford (Joanne), Cindy Tilford and Angela Tilford Mercier (Paul); his grandchildren, Taylor (Noah), David (Olivia), Erica, Daniel (Samantha), Jeffery (Serena), James, Brandon and Paige (Alex); his great grandchildren, Cameron, Brody, Ashton and Sophia; his sister Martha Sumner; and his close friend Blackie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
