Duane touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjory Williamson McWhorter and James Laurence McWhorter; his wife Edna Guilder; his siblings, Roland, David McWhorter, Lois Kilmer, Mary Lou McWhorter, Bruce and Kenneth Thomas Whorter; and his siblings-in-law, Maurice Kilmer, Shirley, Suzanne, Judy, Sandra and Faith McWhorter.

He is survived by: his close friend Tammie Perry; and his siblings, Dr. Earl J. McWhorter, John McWhorter, Donald McWhorter, Gordon McWhorter (Elizabeth), Paul McWhorter and Dorothy Sherman (Gary).

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the M. B. Kilmer Funeral Home- Argyle (123 Main St, Argyle, NY 12809). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
