Thomas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Etman and Viola Galpin (Jones); his wife Char Galpin (Durfee); his son Rex Galpin (Julie); his siblings, William Aden Galpin, Larry Galpin, Mike Galpin (Michelle) and Mary Haygood (Galpin); his parents-in-law, Raymond and Charlotte Durfee (Rosekrans); his siblings-in-law, Debbie Galpin, Arlene Schultz (Durfee), Marlene Cram (Durfee) and Terry Durfee; and his siblings' children, Amanda Northrup, Megan Northrup, Kerrie Galpin, David "Davey" Campbell and Gary Galpin.
He is survived by: his daughter Joy Brown (David); his grandchildren, Justin Michael Brown (Ayla Seymour), Troy Maverick Brown and Jaycee Elisabeth Brown; his great grandchildren, Raelynn Marie Brown, Kinsley Elaine Brown and Savannah Rose Brown; his siblings, Neil Galpin (Kathy), Lucy Giroux (Dexter), Fran Galpin, Pete Galpin and Marty Galpin (Nikki); his siblings-in-law, JoAn Galpin, Sue Galpin, Eileen McDonald (Durfee) and Jim Haygood; and his grandchildren, Justin Michael Troy (Moose), Jaycee Elisabeth (Jaycee-Girl), Raelynn Marie (Rae Rae), Kinsley Elaine (Kins) and Savannah Rose (Sassy).
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (1200 Walnut St, Elmira, NY 14905).
