Areti D. Moustakis Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Areti D. Moustakis of Astoria, New York, whose life came to an end on February 28, 2026 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Haralambo Demakis and Nikoleta Demakis; her husband Dimitrios Moustakis; and her siblings, Vasiliki Zaxaropoulos, Demitrios Demakis (Mitros), Nikolaos Demakis and Elias Demakis.

She is survived by: her aunt Areti; her children, Vasilios (Dimitra Moustaki) and Niki (Dimitris Kakkos); her sister Maria Pantazopoulos; her son Ted Moustakis (Jeaneen Kump); her grandchildren, Kostas Kakkos, Areti Saurine, Panagiota Kakkos, Demitrios Moustakis, Athina Vella, Krystina Moustakis, Niko Moustakis, Vasilios Moustakis, Christos Moustakis and Areti Moustakis; and her great grandchildren, Thomas, Vincent, Marion, Zoe Vella, Amelia, Theodore Moustakis, Jeaneen and Chrisanthi Saurine. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine and St. George Church (22-30 33rd St, Astoria, NY 11105). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
