He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Ammerman and Sarah Searfoss Ammerman; his wife Priscilla Shipman Ammerman; his daughter Joyce Ammerman; his brothers, Arthur Ammerman and Floyd Ammerman; and his grandson Jason Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Lorman (Tom) of Endicott, Chuck Ammerman of Athens, Jeff Ammerman (Becky) of Athens and Penelope Wright (Jeff) of Lockwood; and his brother Donald Ammerman (Loretta) of Athens. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Blauvelt Funeral Home (625 Broad St, Waverly, NY 14892). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at the Orange Hill Cemetery.
