With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen M. Oliveira (Athens, New York), born in Honolulu, Hawaii, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2024 at the age of 73. Though Stephen has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Sylvester Oliveira and Helen Oliveira (Alencastre). He is survived by : his wife Jeanne (Cozzocrea); and his grandchildren, Patience and Kaia. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Reformed Church (18 N Church St, Athens, NY 12015). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
