Raymond Huntone Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Huntone of Atlanta, New York, who passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Raymond departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Raymond may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Raymond leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Huntone and Leona Huntone (Polmateer); his wife Sheila Huntone (Strobel); and his sisters, Eleanor Gross (Ed) and Marilyn Proctor (Bill).

He is survived by: his daughters, Eileen Schmidt (Fred) and Karen Eggers (Roy); and his grandchild Elisha Olmstead (Josh). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hatch Hose Fire Department in Atlanta, NY, where Ray volunteered as a young man.
