He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Lawrence and Ida Lawrence (Blaisdell); his brother Robert Lawrence; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Lawrence and Dick Dwello.

He is survived by : his wife Paula; his children, Jodi Bretherton, Chris Lawrence (Shelly), Mark Lawrence (Renee), Nicole Sliwka, Hollie Vanderstouw (Casey) and Ryan Shymkiw (Tony); his siblings, John "Jack" Lawrence, William Lawrence (Midgy) and Patricia Dwello; and his sister-in-law Juanita Lawrence. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Charles M. Lawrence, to the U.S. Walter T. Conley American Legion Post 1107 of Union Springs, NY.
