We announce the death of Gregory Vanscoy (Auburn, New York), born in Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 79. Gregory will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred and Francis (Sprint). He is survived by: his wife Jane Vanscoy (Ryan); his children, Treva Lynne Levine (Vanscoy) and Joshua Gregory Vanscoy; his children-in-law, Catherine Vanscoy (Coughlin) and Douglas Levine; his grandchildren, William, Bennett, Kathryn, Griffin, Lucy, Olivia (Birdie) and Julianne; and his siblings, Nancy Corton (Vanscoy), Robert Vanscoy (Yankee) and Kevin Vanscoy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pettigrass Funeral Home (196 Genesee St, Auburn, NY 13021). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (90 Melrose Rd, Auburn, NY 13021).
