It is with sadness that the passing of Janet Sheets of Auburn, New York is shared. Janet, born on October 18, 1941, passed away on August 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Janet will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Janet by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Janet is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Janet’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tracy Hotaling and Beatrice Winks Hotaling; her husband James; and her children, Donald, Thomas, Michael and Lauretta.
She is survived by: her sons, Patrick of Wis and Daniel of Auburn. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Phoenix Rural Cemetery (126 Chestnut St, Phoenix, NY 13135).
